JT has led the way with ultra-fast Fibre Broadband services in the Channel Islands for several years and, in 2016, was the first to offer it to Guernsey residential addresses.
We now have over 200 fibre connections in Guernsey, more than 70 of which are to home addresses with the same award-winning offering enjoyed by our Jersey customers – the third fastest network in the world – of 500Mb, boosted to 1Gb during the pandemic.
Our biggest challenge in Guernsey, where JT has been chosen to help Agilisys with the Smart Guernsey project to modernise the States of Guernsey’s IT systems and transform digital public services, is the high cost of getting into new areas. Because of this we work closely with forward-thinking developers who understand the importance of providing the best possible internet connection in their properties.
