Terms and Conditions


Please read the terms and conditions below before applying for support from our community giving fund.

These Terms and Conditions, as well as the details outlined in the application form (together referred to as the “Term’s”), set out the contractual terms on which you make a request for community giving support from JT.
The Terms may change from time to time, at JT’s sole discretion and without prior notice. The latest Term’s are provided on the website (enter website link) and they will supersede and cancel any previous agreements in relation to the support we offer. Applicants must agree to these Terms, in order for JT to consider their application request.

  1. General
    • JT reserves the right to withdraw, amend or substitute their support at any time, without prior notice.
    • You can apply for funding/support at any point during the year. However, applications will only be reviewed if the event/project is more than 3 months’ away, as funding/support is only released 4 times a year (once every 3 months) and cannot be applied for during or post the event/project.
    • Applicants who are unsuccessful in a previous period of funding are welcome to submit a new application in future funding periods.
    • JT’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
    • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Bailiwick of Jersey or Bailiwick of Guernsey, as appropriate (depending on which Island the application is made in ).
  1. About Us
    • JT (Jersey) Limited is registered in Jersey with company number 83487 and registered office address No1 The Forum, Grenville Street, St Helier, Jersey, JE4 8PB and JT (Guernsey) Limited is registered in Guernsey with company number 39971 and registered office address Floor 2 Trafalgar Court, Les Banques, St Peter Port, Guernsey, GY1 4LY.

  1. Who is eligible?
    • Any local (Jersey or Guernsey) not-for-profit organisation, charity, school or community group is eligible to apply for support from the fund.
    • Both the individual applying for the fund and the recipient group must reside in the Channel Islands.
    • Applications for funding will be made payable to a registered organisation or charity, but will not be payable to an individual.
    • The individual applying for support must do so in a professional capacity and must be able to verify the creditability of the project as part of the application and if further required by a member of the JT Community Giving fund.  
    • Any funding or other support received is to be restricted to the purpose stated in the application.
    • JT has the right to refuse or withdraw an application or funding if it is found to not be for the benefit of a local cause or charity, or used for something other than what was applied for.
    • In the interests of maximising support fairly across the Channel Islands, charities who were successful in a previous round of applications may not be guaranteed success in future rounds of funding. 
    • Applicants must be happy to feature in JT publicity communications or campaigns to promote JT Community Giving to the Channel Islands and to raise the profile of their cause.
  1. How to apply
    • Applications for support are open all year round. However, applications are only reviewed every three months (January, April, July, October) and in conjunction, funding will only be released four times a year.
    • Applications can be submitted by completing an online form. Paper forms are available on request and should be returned to our registered office address outlined in the FAQ’s document.
    • Any applications received:
      1. between 1 January and 31 March will be considered for the April release;
      2. between 1 April and 30 June for the July release;
      3. between 1 July and 30 September for the October release; and
      4. between 1 October and 31 December for the January release.
    • JT are not liable for applications that are either not received, or which are received incomplete, illegible or corrupt.  
    • JT cannot accept liability for any system failures, network errors, website unavailability, hacks on the system, personal computer issues or any other issue out of our reasonable control or service provided by a third party.
  1. Data Protection
    • During the application process, we will collect, store and process data in accordance with our Privacy Policy which can be found on our website at (Privacy Policy - JT )
    • It will be necessary to hold some Personal data, for example the name of the applicant and contact details, in order to communicate with you during the application process and delivery period after funding/support has been awarded.
    • For successful applicants, JT may share the name of the charity/school/community group, how much/what was donated by JT and what the donation was intended on our website, social channels or media with your prior consent.
Successful applicants may be asked to take part in publicity/marketing activity in relation to their local charity or community project and may be asked to submit photos or take part in filming as appropriate. This may be posted onto our website and social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and local media channels such as television, newspapers and radio.
