This September we’ve partnered up with Macmillan Jersey
and revamped the greatest coffee morning into a new 7-day event.
We’re asking the community to come together to host their own events
and help raise vital funds to support Islanders affected by cancer.

Monday 21st September and Wednesday 23rd:
Movie Night at the Savoy Hotel – The Savoy hotel have teamed up with Cinema Paradiso to host two movie nights in support of local people affected by cancer. Your movie dining experience includes a movie, choice of burger / hot dog, popcorn & chat with movie buffs after the film.
Tuesday 22nd September:
Quiz Night – Nominate a JT team member or test your own knowledge and enter the ‘Battle of the Corporates’ virtual quiz for a chance to WIN an electric bike and a Pilates session for your whole team. Why not invite your friends and family too?
Wednesday 23rd September:
Swap your virtual meetings for a social distanced walking meeting with a difference. Instead of buying teas and coffees for everyone, donate your coffee money to Macmillan Jersey. You can even challenge each other to dress up in wacky costumes for a bit of fun.
Thursday 24th September:
Beat the Barista at The Lounge charity book café. They will have classic board games such as chess, snakes and ladders, connect 4 and more. Plus, you can pick up a tasty slice of freshly baked cake and a cuppa whilst you play. All the money donated in the coffee shop goes to help Islanders affected by cancer.
Friday 25th September:
Treat your team to an end of week treat. Macmillan have teamed up with some great local bakeries including flour, Vienna bakery, fungi Delecti, Ceri’s cakes and Jersey Cupcakes to sell a selection of cakes at their charity pop stall outside USC (the old BHS) and the Lounge Charity book café to Celebrate Jersey’s Greatest Coffee Morning.
Or why not host your own virtual coffee morning with the team, set a side some time in your diaries, grab a cake and a cuppa and have a social chat. Even donating as little as £2 per person to Macmillan Jersey will be gratefully received.
Saturday 26th September:
Sizzle with a BBQ: The weekend is here, why not host a BBQ for your friends and family? In a similar style to Jersey’s Greatest Coffee Morning, ask friends and family to donate money to attend your BBQ. You can either do this in ticket style or charge for a Burger/Sausage.
Saturday 26th September:
Women’s clothing event: The Macmillan Jersey team are taking over the Lounge charity book café to host a new and preloved women’s pop up clothes sale. They’ll have some great items including brand new designer item at bargain prices. They are also accepting the Government £100 Spend Local cards so you can pick out some great outfits whilst supporting a local charity. The pop-up shop will be open 10am – 5pm.
Sunday 27th September:
End your week with a relaxing Live Yoga Facebook session from the comfort of your home with Omshanti yoga living. You’ll be able to watch it streamed live on the Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey Facebook page at 10:30am on Sunday.
What else is going on?
Local businesses that are also supporting Macmillan this week with a great range of activities and offers are De Gruchys and Coop Grand Marche stores.
De Gruchys have a packed week full of events, including movie fancy dress day, a giant inflatable darts board challenge, De Gruchys Greatest coffee morning and more. Plus Macmillan volunteers will be in store Wednesday and Saturday providing more information on their services.
The Coop have put on some great offers on teas, biscuits, BBQ packs, snacks and more to help support your events. Keep an eye out for these offers in their Grand Marche stores this week.
