Optional:

Turn mobile data off in Settings for apps you don’t need to use whilst away. E.g. CI specific ones such as food, parking and taxi apps. You can always turn them back on again should you find your needs change.

Consider adding a spend cap to limit your out-of-bundle roaming spend.
When away, use secure Wi-Fi networks when available for example in airports, hotels, restaurants etc.

What is it?

Data Boosters boost your data for use locally in the Channel Islands, and your roaming data balance for use when in UK, Europe and USA.
All our mobile plans include a data allowance for use when roaming in the UK, Europe and USA, but if you find you need more data until your monthly allowance is refreshed on your next billing date, you can easily add a data booster.

How does it work?

Data boosters work by adding the amount of data you’ve chosen to your mobile plan and are available to use for 30 days.

A booster is shown as a one-off charge on your monthly bill.

You can boost data multiple times during one billing period too.

How can I get it?

Once you’ve used the data included in your mobile plan, you will be charged at standard rates, as set out in the table above.

To keep your charges as low as possible, we advise activating a data booster.

If you choose not to do that, you could consider setting a spend cap:

Set a limit as to how much you can spend on top of your monthly mobile plan;
£0, £50 or £100.
This cap applies to mobile data usage (local and roamed) only.
We’ll text you when you’re getting close to your limit, and again when you reach it.
You can manage or remove your spend cap through your My JT app.
Spend caps are completely optional so you can choose not to have one.
