Ways to Top Up
What's happening?
- From the 1 September 2023, Pay As You Go top-up vouchers (Payzone) will no longer be available for purchase.
- The app and top up portal will remain available and in addition, there is now a new phone number ‘235’ which will allow customers to top up using their debit or credit card. Dialling this is free of charge.
Why is it happening?
- From time to time, we undertake a review of all our services to ensure we’re providing the best possible customer service for our customers.
- We want to make it simpler for our customers to top up from the convenience of their own home, anywhere at any time and the new 235 debit/credit card service, My Account app and online portal, all allow them to do that.
Can I top up when roaming?
- Yes. You can top up from anywhere at any time using the JT My Top Up app or My JT Top Up portal. We recommend doing this over a secure Wi-Fi or data connection.
- Please note the short code option won’t work whilst roaming.
I have a payzone voucher that I haven't used yet, can it still be used?
- Yes, all vouchers purchased prior to the 1st September 2023, can be used within 90 days from the date of purchase.
I don’t use/have access to the internet – what are my options?
- You can dial ‘235’ and top up your mobile credit using your credit or debit card. The service is free to use, 24/7 and you can do it from the comfort of your own home.
- Alternatively, you could ask a friend or family member to help you to top up from anywhere at any time using the ‘JT My Top Up’ app or My JT top-up portal www.jtglobal.com/topup
- We are also offering 12m free on postpaid mobile plans in Guernsey as part of our summer campaign (and 12m in Jersey when buying a selected device) and with those you’ll never have to worry about topping up again. Offer ends 06 Oct 2023.
How does the 235 credit top up service work?
- The ‘235’ top-up service is for credit top-ups only and standard PAYG rates will apply.
- You can top up for any value between £5 minimum and £500 maximum.
- There is no expiry date to your credit as long as your service is ‘active’ – Active means that you top up at least once, every 210 days.
- However, if you choose to top up, via the ‘JT My Top Up’ app or My JT top-up portal, you will also get bonus calls, texts and data as part of your top up.
Can I top up with no credit?
- Yes, the 235 service is free to use. You can also still top-up with no credit by using the ‘JT My Top Up’ app or top-up portal. You will need a secure Wi-Fi connection but can top up from any device as long as you have your mobile number to hand.
