Respected financial services executive joins JT Group Board

A former Director of Financial Services for the States of Jersey and Head of AIB Bank in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of JT, joining the JT Group Board.

Jersey-based Joe Moynihan joins the Group Board of the Channel Islands’ largest and only locally owned telecommunications company.

Communications history in Jersey by JT and La Collette flats

La Collette has made communications history in Jersey by being the first part of the Island to remove the copper network in its entirety. Paving the way for a full-fibre future.

The area’s network of copper wires and cabinets – which has served the community reliably for decades – has now been removed. In its place is a full-fibre network. This capable of meeting the demands of today’s residents and businesses. And customers who increasingly rely on products and services delivered digitally.

JT hopes the La Collette copper network project will pave the way for a full-fibre future.

JT achieves accreditation as a Jersey’s living wage employer

JT is the first large local company to committed to paying Jersey’s living wage to its direct employees, which is a major boost for the Caritas Living Wage Project. JT hopes its example will lead the way for other local businesses to register with the scheme, increasing the quality of living for as many people as possible.

JT-sponsored IoD seminar to tackle Guernsey’s air links

The JT-sponsored Institute of Directors winter seminar series will conclude on Friday 13 April by revisiting the important topic of Guernsey’s air links.

The subject was last discussed by the IoD in 2016. This was not long after the regulator had raised concerns about the Blue Islands / Flybe franchise agreement on inter-island routes and
Aurigny’s Alderney services had been criticised following the airline posting a £4.6m loss.
