JT has achieved a Gold TIDE Award for the second consecutive year, recognising its continued commitment to creating an inclusive workplace for all their employees.
TIDE is a diversity, equality and inclusion self-assessment tool developed by Onvero that benchmarks organisations across 10 key areas, including inclusive recruitment, leadership, employee voice, wellbeing and belonging.
JT achieved an overall score of 92% in 2026, up from 89% last year and 37% in 2021, demonstrating significant progress over the past five years.
JT ranked first among the 62 private-sector organisations taking part and fifth overall, out of all 158 entries.
The company also performed particularly strongly across several areas of the assessment, ranking:
- 1st out of 158 organisations for their talent inclusion and diversity strategy
- 3rd out of 158 organisations for diversity, equity and inclusion training
- 3rd out of 158 organisations for talent management and development
- 5th out of 158 organisations for inclusive recruitment.
Laura Belo, Chief People Officer at JT, said: “Achieving Gold for a second consecutive year is something we are incredibly proud of, but what matters most is the progress being made behind the award. The growth from 37% in 2021 to 92% today reflects our on-going commitment to making inclusion part of how we work on a daily basis.
“Creating an inclusive workplace is firmly embedded into our business and part of our company culture, and while these results show how far we’ve come, we know there is always more to learn from and improve. We’ll continue listening to our people, learning from others and looking for new practical ways to make JT a place where everyone feels valued, supported and able to perform at their very best.”
The Gold Award recognises JT’s performance in Onvero’s 2026 TIDE benchmarking process and reflects what Onvero described as the organisation’s “real commitment to inclusivity”.
JT will use the findings from this year’s assessment to continue developing its approach, including learning from other organisations who performed strongly in areas where further progress can be made.
